Michael Suarez, a native of Miami, Florida, developed a commitment to teamwork and discipline through early participation in baseball, which subsequently led to an athletic scholarship at Florida International University for his undergraduate education. Pursuing studies in criminal justice, he completed coursework integral to public sector excellence, including subjects such as Criminal Justice and Minorities. During his time at the university, he established a professional relationship with the Chief of Police, who encouraged him to consider a career in law enforcement—a path Suarez pursued after years of admiring the field and its distinguished professionals.
Throughout his career, Suarez has earned recognition for his steadfast dedication to his responsibilities, his colleagues, and the community. Notably, he was the first officer from West Palm Beach (WPB) selected for assignment to the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, where he apprehended high-risk fugitives over a ten-year term. His service also includes fifteen years on the WPB SWAT team and participation in the Intelligence Lead Tactical Team, collaborating closely with the Police Department’s Real-Time Crime Center. Upon promotion to Sergeant, Suarez was chosen to lead within the mayor’s initiative, “The First 48,” a multi-agency program targeting violent, gang-related crimes. With twenty-five years of combined experience across the public and private sectors, he made a full-time transition into the private sector, committed to providing customized and professional services to its clients.
